What is the Tourist Boat Operating Course?
The
Tourist Boat Operating Course is conducted by the Ministry of Tourism
and Culture Malaysia and the Marine Department with the aim of raising
the competency and knowledge of parties involved in the maritime
transport industry. The objective of the course is to increase awareness
by focusing on the technical aspects, safety, prevention and the proper
methods of handling tourists and equipment.
When and where is the course held?
This
course is held once a year at any suitable location, particularly at
locations that are closely related to tourist boating/ferry activities.
Who should attend?
Tourist
boat service operators, boat and ferry captains, resort operators and
individuals who are directly involved in the maritime transport industry
